Backend, infrastructure and the web — built to hold up.

I build the parts of software that have to be right: APIs and queues that stay correct under load, clusters that stay boring, and the sites and apps on top of them. Go first, then Python, Java and TypeScript. Two Google Summer of Code projects, a Linux Foundation mentorship, and production backends at Deccan AI and Keploy.

Open to full-time, contract and freelance work.

Good software begins when correctness and performance stop being a trade-off.

Most systems don’t fail because of a missing feature. They fail at the seams: a protocol nobody decoded properly, a queue that drops under load, a test suite that lies. That’s the work I like — the infrastructure, databases and developer tools underneath the product, and the clean interface on top.

Selected work

The best backend is the one you stop thinking about. I build the kind that stays quiet at 3 a.m.

Protocol-level work, queues, caches, clusters, test infrastructure — and a clean web front on top when you need one. If you have a system that keeps you up, let’s talk about it.

What I
build

Full-time, contract or freelance. Small scoped task first if that’s easier.

  • Backend & APIs

Services that stay correct under load: REST and gRPC APIs, queues, workers, caching, rate limiting, observability from day one.

    • Go
    • Python
    • Java
    • PostgreSQL
    • Redis
    • Apache Kafka
  • Infrastructure & cloud

Kubernetes, AWS, Docker and Helm; CI pipelines that are fast and boring; metrics and tracing with Prometheus and OpenTelemetry.

  • Websites & web apps

Marketing sites, dashboards and full products in React and Next.js, with the backend to match. This site is one.

    • React
    • Next.js
    • TypeScript
    • Tailwind CSS
    • Node.js
  • Developer tools & automation

Testing infrastructure, record/replay, protocol work, CLIs, scrapers and the glue scripts nobody else wants to write.

Experience

Where the work
was done

  1. Deccan AI

    AI Backend Engineer

    June 2026 — present · Hyderabad

    • Own the backend for Deccan Vault, an enterprise AI training-data catalog: dataset packaging moved off the API onto AWS Lambda, public surface protected with Redis rate limiting.
    • Building the orchestration platform that runs automated AI quality and evaluation pipelines for the annotation system, on Kafka, PostgreSQL and a fault-tolerant async worker pool.
  2. Keploy

    Software Engineer

    August 2025 — May 2026 · Bangalore

    • MongoDB wire-protocol mock engine; Kubernetes recording and replay across seven protocols.
    • Extended the AI Java unit-test generation backend behind the VS Code extension (1.2M+ installs): Spring Boot and Maven support, JaCoCo coverage parsing.
    • UNIX-socket-based de-duplication of Go and Java tests, merging per-test coverage.
  3. Google Summer of Code — CHAOSS

    Open-source contributor

    May — August 2025 · Remote

    • Contributor analytics end to end: Augur data model and collection worker, 8Knot funnel and radar charts.
  4. Google Summer of Code — TARDIS

    Open-source contributor

    May — September 2024 · Remote

    • 30 benchmarks covering 80% of the codebase; GitHub Actions caching and setup that cut CI runtime by 20%.
  5. Linux Foundation Mentorship — KCL

    Open-source contributor

    June — August 2024 · Remote

    • Sparse-checkout support in KPM, so a repository sub-directory can be a third-party dependency.
